HughesNet offers different service levels, each providing greater maximum up and down speed, and a larger "FAP" limit*. We offer two sizes of Hughesnet satellite dish systems. The basic dish is a 0.74 meter system with a 1 watt radio. It will support the first level of HughesNet service only. The 1.2 meter system includes a 2-watt transmitter to support all HughesNet service levels and provides greater margin for rain fade and other conditions which can otherwise impair service over satellite.
